Yamunotri Gangotri Tour Itinerary
4 Nights 5 Days
1st Day : Haridwar to Saynachati / Barkot (N.S)(220kms/7-8hrs)
The journey starts from Haridwar to Barkot. On arrival check in Hotel. Overnight at hotel.
2nd Day : Saynachati /Barkot to Yamunotri and back Saynachati (N.S)(36kms & 6kms trek one side)
Early morning drive to Jankichatti, start 6 kms trek from Janki Chatti to Yamunotri either by walk, doli or by horse at own cost. On arrival at Yamunotri, take bath in hot Jamunabai Kund then go for Temple darshan, after having Temple darshan you can also cook rice by packing it in a cloth and dipping it in the hot water of the hot kund. Pilgrims take this cooked rice back home as “Prasad”. After this back down to Jankichatti and then proceed to Barkot. Overnight at hotel.
3rd Day : Saynachati / Barkot to Uttarkashi (N.S)(110kms/5-6hrs)
Morning checks out from the hotel and drives to Uttarkashi. On arrival at the hotel, in the evening we will visit the famous temple of Kashi –Viswanath at Uttarkashi and then return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
4th Day : Uttarkashi to Gangotri and back Uttarkashi (N.S)(108kms/5-6hrs one side)
Early morning drive to Gangotri. At Gangotri take a holy dip in the river Ganga, It’s also called Bhagirathi at its origin. Then go for Temple darshan, after temple darshan drives back to Uttarkashi for an overnight stay.
5th Day: Uttarkashi to Haridwar via Rishikesh (200kms/7-8hrs)
Check out from the hotel and drive to Haridwar. On arrival drop at Haridwar.
